Ingredients

  • Pre-baked gingerbread house kit
  • Club® Crackers
  • Various candies to decorate
  • Sweetened shredded coconut
  • Tools: Scissors, Exacto Knife, Cutting Board

Directions

1. Before assembling the house, create a plan by laying as many crackers as needed over the panels to fully cover the house. Use an Exacto knife to appropriately trim crackers to fit.

2. Follow directions on the kit to assemble the gingerbread house on a cutting board.

3. After the house has dried for several hours, lay Club® Crackers face down and pipe a line of icing along each cracker’s edges. Adhere crackers to all sides of the house leaving no visible gingerbread.

4. To create shingles on the roof, glue one layer towards the bottom of the roof, so the bottom edge of the cracker is hanging off the roof.

5. Glue another layer of crackers offsetting the bottom layer, so each cracker is centered where the bottom layer of crackers touch, achieving a layered effect.

6. Finish with a final layer of crackers that offsets the bottom layer, placing in the middle of where the two crackers meet. Do not layer above the roof pitch. Repeat on the other side.

7. Decorate as desired with candies and remaining icing. Use shredded coconut to create a snowfall effect and pull the whole scene together.
