Maple Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole
This crowd-pleasing Maple Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole recipe consists of chopped pecans, sweet potato puree, brown sugar, and Town House® Original Crackers. When served to guests, the golden-brown, crispy casserole is sure to invoke the warm flavors of fall.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed Town House® Original Crackers
- 2 tablespoons plus 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and divided
- 5 cups sweet potato puree or 4 large sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
2. Combine pecans, brown sugar, Town House® Original Crackers, and 2 tablespoons of butter in small bowl, tossing well to coat. Set aside.
3. Combine sweet potato, maple syrup, remaining butter, cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt in large bowl until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
4. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and top evenly with cracker mixture. Bake until the topping is golden-brown and crispy, about 25 to 30 minutes. Allow casserole to cool slightly before serving.
